From the Director's desk

Capacity building and training has been one of the most important approaches used by organizations to achieve development objectives. In case of healthcare services, the same assumes much more importance considering its relation with the health and well-being of the community.

SIHFW Haryana is committed to develop, update and refresh the knowledge and skills of the health care personnel in the state by providing quality trainings at state level and ensuring standardized trainings at district level following training needs assessment.

The institute has recently expanded its scope by developing infrastructure for simulating Accident and Emergency department in a district hospital and an RMNCH simulation lab. The Accident and Emergency department simulation lab is designed to teach life saving skills in hospital or out-of-hospital setting. The RMNCH simulation lab comprises skill stations where trainees learn through practicing skills on mannequins, models through several simulation exercises.

It remains my endeavor to provide an enabling environment to the staff such that they utilize their potential to the maximum and work efficiently as a team in achieving our common goal – towards provision of effective and efficient healthcare services through optimum capacity building of the healthcare personnel in the state.
